MCA: Lim should expose all past and present wrongdoings

-

GEORGE TOWN: MCA says Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng should be fair and expose all wrongdoings, past and present, including those committed by former prime ministers and finance ministers.

MCA, in saying that it welcomed efforts to expose corruption and mismanagement, yesterday urged Lim to be fair and impartial in carrying out his duties.

MCA publicity spokesman Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker likened corruption to a disease, which, if unattended, would grow into something dangerous.

“We urge Lim to exercise the highest level of professionalism and leave no stone unturned.

“This means exposing alleged wrongdoings, abuses of power and corruption linked to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tun Daim Zainuddin and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“Without fear or favour, these incidents should be re-examined and investigated.

“If these leaders have nothing to hide, this should not be an issue.

“As mentioned earlier, someone in the past allowed corruption to make its way into the administration and this has since grown into a monster.”

Ti said Lim and Ec onomic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali had their fair share of issues.
