‘Finas gave full cooperation to MACC in raid’
KUALA LUMPUR: The National Film Development Board (Finas) is cooperating with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its probe into the body.
Its director-general, Datuk Fauzi Yob, confirmed that MACC officers “had been present” at the Finas headquarters in Hulu Klang on June 7.
He said the board’s officers had given their full cooperation.
“I can confirm the presence of MACC officers at our headquarters and we cooperated fully with them. Finas will not compromise with any quarter deemed to have been involved in graft, abuse of power or leakage of funds.
“If anyone is found to have gone against the law, action should be taken against the person immediately.”
Fauzi was responding to a statement by Multimedia and Communications Minister Gobind Singh Deo that MACC officers had raided Finas on June 7.
