Timepiece for all occasions

IN a fast-paced world where digital comes first, would anyone still buy an analogue wristwatch?

The answer is a resounding ‘yes’. I love analogue wristwatch for one simple reason: Stylish with a bit of old world charm.

While smartwatches like the Apple Watch are gorgeous and can do almost everything like tracking your health status, nothing beats the intricate clockwork of an analogue watch.

Then comes Nocturne Watch, a homegrown brand that reflects composition with simple elegance, contemporary design and excellent craftsmanship.

Besides attention to details, the company builds the watches from the core, powered by the reliable Swiss Ronda movement.

Ultra-thin and lightweight, my Rose Gold White with Brown Leather (all watches come with a complimentary pair of watch strap) sits nicely on my wrist. The face is made from scratch-resistant Sapphire Crystal Glass. The watch is covered in 316L surgical grade stainless steel.

There are three different straps to choose from: Italian calf leather, tweed or stainless steel mesh. Whatever the straps combination, it looks good. The “Quick Release” interchangeable straps are espe-

cially helpful when I need to switch between the leather and tweed straps to suit the occasion, from business to gala dinner to a casual stroll on the beach.

The classy, brown leather strap feels comfortable on my wrist and it takes minimal bends-and-turns to put on.

I have an affinity for rose gold — its colour reminds me of the sun during spring. If Rose Gold is not your thing, you can opt for either Silver Black or Silver White. But whatever the colour, Nocturne watch is definitely a keeper.

Besides being reasonably-priced at RM600, Nocturne watches fit all styles and occasions, and are suitable for both sexes.
