Empowering the orang asli community

The Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya (RCPJ) in collaboration with Bermaz Motor Trading donated a new Mazda Pickup Truck to a vocational school being built for the Orang Asli in Tapah, Perak.

The school is being built by Persatuan Komuniti Elite, an NGO that is trying to empower the Orang Asli community by providing them with education, skills transfer and equipment to upgrade their standard of living while maintaining their culture and freedom.

The pickup truck is a big boost to their initiative and will enable them to have better reach to children in remote areas, as well as help the children commute to the vocational school and other areas.
