1 WHAT IS YOUR WEEKLY EXERCISE ROUTINE?

My key focus is on a body workout without gym, weights and machines. I work out five to six times a week.

2 WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS AIM?

To be fit and healthy as well as aesthetica­lly pleasing.

3 ARE YOU A GYM JUNKIE OR AN OUTDOOR EXERCISER?

I am 100 per cent focused on bodyweight training/body workout. It involves 80 per cent outdoor exercises and 20 per cent indoor exercises.

4 HOW DO YOU GET OVER BEING TOO LAZY TO EXERCISE?

The motivation is self-satisfacti­on. The first thing I do every morning as well as at night is to look at myself in the mirror and I feel completely satisfied with what I’ve achieved. That trick helps remove laziness from the equation.

5 WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE WORKOUT?

A combinatio­n of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) for cardio and body weight training for strength.

6 WEIGHTS OR CARDIO?

I refer to my body weight for cardio and strength exercises.

7 WHAT IS THE MOST DRASTIC THING YOU’VE DONE WHEN IT COMES TO EXERCISE? 8 WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL BREAKFAST?

Wholemeal bread with peanut butter plus coffee with fresh milk without sugar.

9 WHAT IS THE ONE JUNK FOOD YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?

I’m not a junk food person. The food that I can’t live without is boiled eggs, rice, green vegetables, nuts, wholemeal bread and peanut butter.

10 HOW LONG DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?

Sufficient sleep is crucial for recovery, so I need at least six and a half to seven hours of proper sleep to function at optimum level.

11 WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FITNESS APP / FITNESS TRACKER?

I don’t have a favourite fitness app or tracker. My personal suggestion would be Fitbit for its functional­ity.

12 WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO AFTER YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING? 13 HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU WORK OUT IN THE MORNING?

Morning workouts are only during weekends where it takes about one and a half hours. On weekdays, I plan my workouts in the evening.

14 WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PRE-EXERCISE / PRE-RACE FUEL?

Black bitter coffee and banana.

15 HOW DO YOU RECOVER FROM A HARD WORKOUT?

Post workout static stretching for 10 minutes is a must. I also continuous­ly hydrate myself.

16 HOW DO YOU PREVENT INJURY?

Dynamic stretching is vital before and during a workout, I always warm-up before workouts and end the session with static stretching. These are key to preventing injury.

17 WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO GET PEOPLE TO EXERCISE?

To stay away from preventabl­e diseases and health complicati­ons, keep being fit and healthy.

18 WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SOURCE OF PROTEIN?

Boiled eggs. It is natural, high in protein, low in calorie and readily available. You can get it anywhere, any time!

When I started doing bar workouts, it immediatel­y escalated my happiness and passion in fitness to the next level.

I enjoy the outdoor atmosphere at an open park with no music. Individual­ly. It helps me enjoy my passion with a focus to achieve positive results.
