20,000 EXPECTED AT JOHOR BARU LEG OF MYRUMAH
7 developers offering more than 500 homes at expo
THE third leg of the MyRumah 2018 here organised by the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) promises to be just as big, if not bigger, than last year’s.
NSTP chief executive officer Datuk Seri Abdul Jalil Hamid said the affordable home expo here was traditionally the best in the series, attracting a large crowd and good sales.
He said the Johor Baru leg of MyRumah 2018 aimed to attract at least 20,000 visitors. The showcase began yesterday and would end tomorrow.
“Last year, 37 homes valued at more than RM16 million were sold,” he said at the launch of the expo at Komtar JBCC yesterday.
Last year, the MyRumah expo here drew more than 15,000 visitors and 17 exhibitors.
The launch was officiated by Johor Housing and Rural Development Committee chairman Dzulkefly Ahmad, who represented Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian.
Present were Johor Corporation Property Division chief executive officer Lukman Abu Bakar and NSTP advertising general manager Roche Chew.
Jalil said this year, NSTP aimed to increase the number of visitors with various activities, including talks by property experts, as well as attractive discounts and prizes for visitors.
“I urge people to come to the expo and check out the various properties on display,” he said.
The exhibition features seven developers and four non-developer companies, with more than 500 residential units on offer.
The developers were Pulai Springs Resort Bhd, Bukit Pelali, Eco Tropics Sdn Bhd, Uda Land, Johor Land Bhd, Hua Yang Bhd and Sunway Iskandar Sdn Bhd.
The four non-developer exhibitors were Amanah Raya Bhd, Bank Muamalat, National Higher Education Fund Corporation and Takaful Ikhlas Bhd.
