UEM Sunrise Bhd is on track to achieve fullyear sales target of RM1.2 billion this year, partly supported by the improving buying sentiment in the property market.

Managing director and chief executive officer Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib said the group had seen a pick-up in sales in the first half, partly due to the improved buying sentiment after the 14th General Election.

“To date, the group has achieved 60 to 70 per cent of the target and is launching more projects in the third and fourth quarter.

“It is too early to tell if we have passed the lowest point of the property cycle, so we are keeping our sales target of RM1.2 billion for now. I believe we are on track to achieve it,” he said at a briefing on UEM Sunrise’s 50 years of community building celebration, here, yesterday.

Anwar said the group was fully supporting the government’s call for more affordable houses to be built for the benefit of the rakyat.

In line with the celebration, it is offering great savings to the public and smart investors for 300 units of UEM Sunrise homes, across seven of its projects, in Cyberjaya and Johor Baru.

The projects were Teega Puteri Harbour, Almãs Puteri Harbour, Estuari Gardens Puteri Harbour, Residensi Ledang Puteri Harbour and Bayu Angkasa in Iskandar Puteri, and Verdi Eco-dominiums and Symphony Hills in Cyberjaya.

Anwar said the properties were being offered at great savings, with prices starting from RM293,000.

Potential customers would be able to enjoy attractive freebies and own their dream home with a down payment from as low as RM1,000 for Bayu Angkasa, RM5,000 for Verdi and Symphony Hills and RM10,000 for Estuari Gardens, Residensi Ledang, Teega Puteri Harbour and Almãs Puteri Harbour.

“We believe smart buyers will benefit from these purchases, enjoying great value and savings as the properties are strategically located and well-connected. We are confident that the properties will be snapped up fast,” he added.
