Trade event expected to draw 25,000 visitors
SHAH ALAM: About 25,000 visitors are expected at the 10-day Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2018 next month.
SIBS 2018 is a platform that connects local and foreign multinational corporations, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry.
Selangor executive councillor Datuk Teng Chang Khim said the event, to be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, made up of three trade shows, namely Selangor International Expo 2018, Selangor Asean Business Conference 2018 and Selangor Smart City and Digital Economy Convention 2018.
Invest Selangor Bhd and Menteri Besar Selangor Inc are the co-organisers of these trade shows, which will run from September 6 to 16.
The official partners are Malaysia Airlines Bhd, Renaissance Hotel, MASkargo, Northport and R.E. Rogers.
At the trade shows, the Barista Guild Asia will host the 2018 Latte Art Competition while the Tea Trade Association of Malaysia will organise Battle of Teh Tarik 2018.
The Professional Culinaire Association will also hold a live demonstration called the “Gastronomic Experience”.
Almost 30 trade bodies have pledged their support for the event.
