FASHIONThemed Afternoon Tea at Shangri-La Hotel

-

KUALA LUMPUR FASHION WEEK (KLFW) came and went, but most of us are still daydreaming about the designs and ways to recreate the contemporary styles seen on the runways. Whether you are a fashion maven or someone who loves afternoon tea, indulge in Lobby Lounge’s Fashion-inspired daily Afternoon Tea menu. Nibble on a variety of savoury and sweet treats with coffee or tea on the side while you have a tête-àtête afternoon session with your girlfriends and loved ones.

Specially designed and carved by Chef Adrian Gan and his team, the highlight of the Fashionista Afternoon Tea has to be the couture-shaped sweet delights such as mango and passion chocolate handbags, white chocolate and raspberry blue hats, yellow chocolate walnut cake handbags and mix berries tartlets. Equally eye-catching is the Kuala Lumpur Chocolate Tower placed in the centre of the Afternoon Tea set, which serves as a small tribute to one of Kuala Lumpur’s famous landmarks.

If you are not a fan of sweet items, the Fashionista Afternoon Tea has a number of fantastic savoury options such as Prawn and Cream Cheese with Saffron Sandwich, Smoked Duck and Aged Cheddar with Arugula on Grilled Brioche, Citrus Cured Salmon on Blinis with Caviar and Crème Fraiche and Truffle Brie and Honey Walnut Toast.

Of course, Afternoon Tea will not be complete without freshly baked scones. The new menu features blackcurrant and white chocolate scones, as well as plain scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam. The Fashionista Afternoon Tea set also offers home-baked cookies such as chocolate chip cookies, butter cookies, biscotti palmier and peanut butter cookies, which are great for dunking in coffee or tea.

The Fashionista Afternoon Tea is available from Sept 1 to Sept 30, from 3pm to 6pm daily at RM180 nett for two persons. Digital Vouchers are available at RM160 nett for two persons.
