KUALA SELANGOR: The warning that Port Dickson Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia issued to two PKR leaders to not take part in the Port Dickson parliamentary by-election campaign is just its own opinion, said Bukit Melawati PKR assemblyman Juwariya Zulkifli.

Juwariya said everybody was entitled to his opinion, but the final decision would be based on consensus in Pakatan Harapan.

“I believe it is just the view of the party’s Youth wing. It is likely that I will also campaign for the party in the by-election to support Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.”

She was commenting on the division’s warning to PKR vicepresident Rafizi Ramli and Kapar member of parliament Abdullah Sani to not campaign in the byelection.

Juwairiya said this after officiating the Malaysiaku Festival in conjunction with the 55th Malaysia Day celebration here yesterday.

She said the contest involving Rafizi and deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali showed a mature democracy.

“PKR wants to be an example. In politics, party members are open-minded and they can judge wisely. It is only outsiders who are viewing it negatively as if there is a dispute in the party.”
