KOTA KINABALU: Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo made time to listen to creative talents and conservation groups and learn about their efforts here yesterday,

Gobind, who dropped by at the 4th Rhythms of Rimba (ROR) Wildlife Festival at Nexus Resort Karambunai, visited all the booths to find out about their work and issues they encountered.

He tasted traditional delicacies and tried his hand at spray painting under the guidance of the Cracko Art Group.

“We need to support festivals. The groups here play an important role in society and in nature conservation.

“We will do what we can to support such efforts,” Gobind said at the end of his visit.

ROR was organised by Future Alam Borneo (FAB), a Sabahbased non-governmental organisation.

The two-day festival, which started on Saturday, brought together groups representing artists, creative talents, including writers, poets, traditional food sellers and fashion designers.

Both evenings showcased music.
