MAN KILLED IN ELITE CRASH

Lorry trailer skids into opposite lane before colliding with car driven by victim

AMAN was killed and two others were injured at 7.30am yesterday in a road accident involving a Perodua Myvi and a lorry trailer at Km6.4 of the Elite Expressway heading from USJ to Shah Alam.

The car driver, Fauzi Mustafa, 35, was killed on the spot while his passenger, Mohd Hasnan Mohd Ali, 57, fractured his right hand.

The lorry driver, Mazle Mahad, 33, sustained light injuries.

Selangor Traffic Enforcemen­t and Investigat­ion Department chief Superinten­dent Azman Shari’at said the crash occurred when Mazle lost control of his lorry trailer and veered into the opposite lane of the highway.

“The trailer crashed into the Myvi when it entered the opposite lane.

“The Myvi driver succumbed to severe head injuries while his passenger fractured his right hand. The lorry driver injured his leg.”

He said Fauzi’s body was sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem.

The two injured victims were also admitted to the hospital for treatment.
