‘PD seat not bought with RM25 million’

-

PORT DICKSON: Negri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan president Aminuddin Harun has denied allegations that the Port Dickson parliamentary seat is worth RM25 million.

Aminuddin, who is menteri besar, brushed aside rumours that the amount was paid to incumbent member of parliament Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah to vacate his position to give way to PKR president-elect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“This is ridiculous. It is just speculation. The matter pertaining the seat for Anwar had been discussed and everyone was informed.

“It’s not just Port Dickson. Other seats were offered to Anwar too. There’s no question of payment being offered to anyone.”

Aminuddin believed that the opposition should not contest the seat and just let Anwar win.

He said the opposition should give way to Anwar as he was set to become the next prime minister.

“Everyone knows that Anwar is the prime minister-designate.

“We in Negri Sembilan, especially Port Dickson, are ready to welcome outsiders, including members of the foreign press. This is a promotional opportunity for us,” he said after visiting flood victims in Kampung Sungai Raya here yesterday.

He said Anwar’s win would boost development in the state, especially Port Dickson.
