Star-studded third anniversary concert

-

JOOX, Asia’s most popular music streaming application, marks its third anniversary with the Tremendous Joox Live Concert today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

The 7.30pm concert will see fans entertained by award-winning singers Joe Flizzow, Dayang Nurfaizah and Aizat Amdan together with Aziz Harun, Ismail Izzani, Farisha Irish, Akim And The Majistret and Uriah See.

Joox business development director Angie Tan said: “The performers were chosen according to their songs’ popularity amongst Joox users. These artistes continue to gain streaming numbers and remain on several popular playlists right now.”

Dayang Nurfaizah echoed her sentiment and said Joox provided fans a friendly platform to find her music. She said that her latest song, Layarlah Kembali from the film Pulang, had gained great reception on the application.

Meanwhile, Akim Ahmad of Akim And The Majistret said Joox was great for smaller bands like his, as the application helped expose their music to a broader audience.

“We would never have had the kind of fans we do without Joox’s help in promoting our music,” said Akim whose band is known for the popular songs Potret and Lagu Untuk Laila.

CELEBRATING FANS

Tan said: “This is our way of saying thank you to all our fans for supporting Joox over the years. The number of Joox users has grown exponentially, and we look forward to providing our fans with the best music, exclusive freebies and hopefully, more live concerts in the coming years.”

Fans just need to purchase a one-month Joox VIP to get a normal pass, or a threemonth Joox VIP to get a VIP pass to the concert.

The VIP cards can be purchased through Joox or at any 7-11 outlets (limited to West Malaysia). Those who purchased the VIP card from 7-11 must bring the card to RedBox The Gardens or RedBox Low Yat Plaza, from 11am to 5pm to redeem their passes.

Those who have purchased the card through the Joox application will receive a confirmation message containing a code, which they must flash at the redemption counter in exchange for a pass.

They can also visit Joox Malaysia’s Facebook page (facebook.com/JOOXMY) for more information.

Joox will be having some special activities for fans, including the Joox P2P Live, which allows fans to meet their favourite artistes at the In Festival: Influencers 2018 today and tomorrow, from 11am to 10pm at the convention centre.

There will also be karaoke booths, a Voov mini video and a free spin of the wheel of fortune.
