Saiful’s campaign fund raises RM525 in five hours

PORT DICKSON: Port Dickson byelection independent candidate Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan’s campaign fund had collected RM525 in five hours after it was launched on Tuesday.

Saiful had, through Facebook, posted a picture of money transactions for the fund.

“Alhamdulillah, (this is) the contribution after five hours the fund was launched. I am touched. I’d like to say thank you,” he said.

Saiful, who is a former assistant of PKR president-elect and Pakatan Harapan candidate for the constituency, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, had on Tuesday appealed the public to contribute RM1 each.

He had said the money channelled to the fund would be used to print posters, flags and other items needed for the campaign.
