COPS AWAITING 2ND AUTOPSY REPORT
We won’t take further action over case until we receive new report, say cops
THERE will be no more arrests in relation to the murder case of Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan, at least until the second post-mortem examination report is handed over to police.
Federal police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said the report was being completed by the forensics and pathology team.
He said since the arrests of several of Nazrin’s family members, there had been no new arrest.
“I cannot comment any further as we have yet to receive the second post-mortem report.
“Any further actions can be taken only once we receive the report,” he said at the Sarawak police headquarters senior officers’ mess here yesterday.
The Petaling Jaya magistrate’s court had, on Oct 1, allowed police to exhume Nazrin’s body so that a second post-mortem could be conducted.
Nazrin was reported to have died in a fire at his home in Mutiara Damansara in June.
However, investigations determined elements of foul play in his death.
Since then, Nazrin’s wife, Samirah Muzaffar, and her ex-husband, both 43, as well as Nazrin’s two stepchildren, aged 14 and 16, have been detained to facilitate investigations,
Also detained were Nazrin’s sister-in-law and her husband.
