Gamuda’s first RSKU built with digital IBS
GAMUDA Land has unveiled its first Rumah Selangorku (RSKU) apartment at Jade Hills, one of its key townships located in Kajang, Selangor. Gapura Bayu Apartment was fully built using digital Industrialised Building System (IBS) — the first RSKU of its kind in Malaysia.
The handing-over of keys to buyers is scheduled to take place in January next year.
About 73 per cent of the apartment units have been taken up, Gamuda Bhd deputy group managing director Mohammed Rashdan Yusof said at the unveiling of the apartments recently.
Priced between RM42,000 and RM250,000 a unit, Gapura Bayu Apartment sits on 4.45ha of freehold land and has a gross development value of RM132 million.
There are 714 units with built-ups of 700, 750, 900 and 1,000 sq ft.
Rashdan said the adoption of digital IBS had resulted in faster construction works with up to 12 months reduction in construction timeline.
He said with such advancement in construction technology, the government is confident of achieving the nation’s aspiration of building 200,000 units of affordable houses per year.
“With Gamuda IBS and the full operation of two of its factories, we will have a combined output of 8,000 units annually. This will reaffirm our commitment to building homes with a faster delivery timeline,” he said.
Rashdan said in suporting the government’s aspiration to create more affordable homes for the people, Gamuda will continue building more affordable homes at its townships.
“At Gamuda Land, we create places that people will call home, want to be a part of, grow up and grow old in. We do not compromise on quality, delivery and living environment for affordable homes... this is why we have adopted Gamuda IBS, Malaysia’s first digital IBS. It addresses the need to deliver better quality homes, faster.”
Despite the affordable prices, Gapura Bayu Apartment’s key features and amenities include a linear garden, kids’ playground, covered and podium carpark, surau, a multi-purpose hall and guarded security.
Each unit also comes with two carpark bays.
“The apartment is suitable for young adults who need a base for them to grow their family in the city,” said Rashdan.
Jade Hills will have a Commerce Village that houses food and beverage outlets, convenience and services shops.
Rashdan said by the end of next year, Jade Square, comprising 66 units of twoand three-storey shops will be completed to support the growing community at Jade Hills.
Slated for full completion by 2025, Jade Hills comprises seven precincts in total and has a gross development value l of f RM2.16 billion.
