Jade Ribbon evening

HEPATITIS Free Malaysia and WOMEN: girls recently launched the Orang Itu Jade Ribbon Campaign with a screening of the muchawaite­d film Orang Itu at GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. The star-studded night saw a slew of local celebritie­s and the city’s bigwigs joining the cast and crew of Orang Itu, which included Low Ngai Yuen, KK Wong, Carmen Soo, Tony Eusoff and Sawyer Leong.

The campaign, which will run for six months, aims to raise awareness on hepatitis, liver cancer and the lack of access to healthcare within the marginalis­ed and street communitie­s. Funds raised from the screening will be used for free hepatitis testing for these communitie­s.
