THE Australian surf brand Rip Curl is completely at home in Malaysia, thanks to this country’s tropical climate and its long stretches of pristine beaches just waiting to be explored. Once specialising in surfboards and surfing wet suits, Rip Curl is now a major brand in surf and beachwear with 15 outlets spread across the country.

We stop by one of Rip Curl’s biggest outlet located in Sunway Pyramid, Subang Jaya, Selangor and pick out a few items we think should be in any man’s travel bags when searching for adventure and exploration near or in the ocean.

1. RIP CURL EASY RIDER FLIP FLOPS

Beach wear is all about being casual and nothing is more casual than a pair of flip flops.

Lightweight and extremely convenient, the Easy Rider helps when the beach’s sand or the jetty’s wooden planks gets a little too hot under the sun for bare feet.

Featuring an EVA foot bed with moulded arch support, rubber outsoles and a fabric upper, the Easy Rider is a stylish piece of minimalist footwear that is far more comfortable than typical flat rubbery thongs.
