Malaysia Cup champs to drop six players
least six players of the Perak squad that clinched the Malaysia Cup title recently, will be dropped.
According to Perak FA (PAFA) interim president, Muhammad Yadzan Mohammad, they include the two import players, striker Misagh Bahadoran from the Philippines and Lebanese defender, Jad Noureddine.
“There are 10 players, whose contracts will end this month, four more in December and two more in 2020.
“Twelve players have got their contracts running until the end of next year, including Nasir Basharuddin, Amirul Azhan, Nazirul Naim, Shahrul Saad and Brendan Gan,” said Yadzan.
Perak coach, Mehmet Durakovic wants two f the 12 players, whose contracts end next year, to be dropped before the start of next season.
Perak goalkeeper, Hafizul Hakim Khairul Nizam Jothy has expressed his intention to play in a foreign league if the opportunity arises.
Hafizul disclosed that his contract with The Bos Gaurus ends this month, and he will have to think of his future after the ongoing AFF Cup.
The 25-year-old revealed that a football agent had asked him if he was interested to play for a club in Thailand.
“I expressed my interest to play in Thailand when the agent approached me but that was it, there was no further discussion.”
Prior to this, speculations were rife that Hafizul would join Thailand’s Muangthong United next season.
Hafizul also revealed that he had receive several offers from local state and club teams.
