TRC Synergy bags RM499m job from Putrajaya master developer

-

KUALA LUMPUR: TRC Synergy Bhd has clinched a RM498.7 million contract, its largest year-todate, from Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (PJH) — the master developer of Putrajaya.

With the new contract, TRC Synergy’s order book surged to RM3 billion, it told Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

The contract, which was secured through its unit Trans Resources Corp Sdn Bhd, involves the construction and completion of an integrated development at Plot 8MD3, Precinct 8 of Putrajaya for a duration of 57 months.

The project comprises residential towers, a podium block, retail space, serviced apartments, common facilities, high street, facilities block for serviced apartments, facility floor, show gallery, event hall, promenade, basement as well as elevated parking and other ancillary works.

TRC Synergy managing director Tan Sri Sufri Mohd Zin said the single-largest contract win this year was a testament to PJH’s confidence in the group, given its more than three-decade track record in the construction industry.

“Having clinched new contracts with a collective RM716 million this year, we now have a strong order book of RM3 billion as well as a clear revenue and earnings visibility stretching into 2021.

“We are very confident that TRC Synergy’s contract winning momentum will continue, riding on our existing tenders book as well as new biddings to be participated by the group going forward,” said Sufri.

He said TRC Synergy would continue to deliver resilient performance and sustainable growth despite the challenging business environment in the local construction sector.

The company would remain focused in executing the best strategies to meet the ever-evolving needs of its existing and prospective clients, and the challenges in the industry, it added.
