Lifestyle brand debuts touchscreen smartwatch
Tony Burch jumps on the smartwatch bandwagon
TORY Burch is ramping up its tech game with the launch of its first touchscreen smartwatch. The luxury US fashion and lifestyle brand has unveiled the ToryTrack Gigi Touchscreen Smartwatch, a connected timepiece inspired by its bestselling Gigi classic model.
The watch comes in three distinct finishes including polished gold tone, silver tone and black stainless steel, and can be used with interchangeable rubber, grosgrain and leather strap options. In terms of functionality, it is compatible with both iPhone and Android mobiles, and is powered by Wear OS by Google and Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC.
Technical features of the watch, which retails for US$395 (RM1,653), allow wearers to set health goals, track their heart rate and workout stats, as well as use Google Assistant and make purchases using Google Pay. Customisable dials, swim-proof functionality and untethered GPS are also included.
“Our new smartwatch is a modern take on one of our classic styles, the Gigi,” explained Burch in a statement. “It is an incredible device with state-of-the art technology that keeps you connected, and I love that you can customise the look with different dial designs and colors as well as interchangeable straps.”
Smartwatches continue to be a major fashion obsession, with recent new models being unveiled by brands including Diesel, Marc Jacobs and DKNY.
