KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Bhd is confident that its newlylaunched Visa Business Platinum credit card will be well-received by customers and expects to issue 10,000 cards next year.

Group chief executive officer Kamarul Ariffin Mohd Jamil said the launch of the card completed the bank’s suite of product offerings that would cater to the daily requirements of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

“We can offer new solutions to customers in the SME segment through this card.

“This is a growing segment for the bank and we are looking at 15 to 16 per cent growth for our SME business this year,” he said after the launch, here, yesterday.

Visa country manager for Malaysia Ng Kong Boon said the card offered many benefits to small businesses and corporates that relied on cash or cheques for payments.

“Digital payments help provide more visibility for companies to plan their finances and enhance the cash management processes,” he added.

The card now offers unlimited cash back of 1.5 per cent when it is used for overseas transactions within the promotion period from now until June next year, before going back to the normal rate of one per cent.

Card holders who spend at least RM2,000 a month will gain complimentary access to Plaza Premium Lounge as well as complimentary green fees at renowned golf courses in Malaysia and Indonesia.
