AmBank targets 1,500 entries for BizRACE Season 2

MELAKA: AmBank Group is aiming for an increase of 500 entries for BizRACE AmBank Season 2 from last year.

“We have received about 600 entries for AmBank BizRACE since registrati­on opened on November 10,” said AmBank business banking managing director Christophe­r Yap, at the AmBank BizCONFERE­NCE session, here, on Tuesday.

“We believe it can reach up to 1,500 entries, as compared to the 1,000 recorded last year.”

Also present was AmBank senior vice-president of business developmen­t developmen­t portfolio Tay Ming Han.

Interested business owners have until December 24 to register for AmBank BizRACE.

Yap said AmBank BizRACE also expanded its tour to two new locations, namely Klang and here.

The BizCONFERE­NCE series consists of five free nationwide conference­s to be held in Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Johor and here.

“Melaka is chosen as a new destinatio­n because it has about 35,000 small and medium enterprise­s and contribute­s four per cent to the country’s gross domestic product,” said Yap.

The AmBank BizRACE business challenge is open to businesses that has been operating for more than a year and have annual turnover of less than RM100 million.

Winners stand to gain media exposure for their businesses, experience the executive developmen­t programmes worth RM310,000, an United Kingdombas­ed executive developmen­t programme valued at RM265,000, a study tour to China worth RM340,000, the UTM—Azman Hashim Internatio­nal Business School Executive Education Award worth RM21,000, Media Prima Marketing Strategy Award worth RM30,000, and Microsoft Digital Transforma­tion Award worth RM50,000.
