JOHOR BARU: Johor Land Bhd (JLand) is targeting sales of RM50 million from its three-day Festival JLand@Bandar Dato’ Onn.

Its general manager (Marketing and Sales Documentation Department), Mohd Hizam Abdul Rauf, said the festival, which was held in conjunction with Johor Corporation’s 50th anniversary, received about 30,000 visitors.

Offers were given on its properties in Bandar Dato’ Onn, Pasir Gudang, Batu Pahat, Bandar Tiram and Kempas, on commercial units, bungalows, semi-detached houses and double-storey units.

Buyers received rebates of between RM2,000 and RM10,000, as well as free electrical appliances.

Hizam said besides promoting the company’s properties, the festival was a platform to foster a bond between families and encourage them to adopt healthy living habits.

He said the festival was also to celebrate the company’s clients and build social networks between them, government agencies and the private sector.

The three-day event began on Friday and was held at the Bandar Datuk Onn exhibition site.

“Among the highlights of the festival included the JCorp Group property showcase and an exhibition featuring more than 40 members of JCorp.

“Some of the activities that were popular with the crowd were hot air balloon rides, eSports challenge, food trucks and the ‘Green Run’,” he said.

“Artistes such as Ruffedge, Ismail Izzani and Siti Sarah were there to entertain the crowd.

“We screened the final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 during the event.”

The festival was officiated by Johor Baru Mayor Datuk Amran A. Rahman. State Youth, Sports and Culture Committee chairman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar was present during the football match screening.

Housewife Sadiah Mahayat, 50, hoped that JLand would continue to organise the event annually.

“The festival, which is held during the year-end school holidays, allowed parents to spend time with their children in a variety of fun activities,” she said.

“As Bandar Dato’ Onn residents, we thank JLand for its efforts to appreciate and celebrate its customers with this programme,”

Teacher Siti Istiqomah Basan, 26, said the activities were organised and benefited visitors.
