The car also comes with Col­li­sion Pre­ven­tion As­sist Plus — a sys­tem that warns when a col­li­sion is im­mi­nent so that the driver can take ac­tion quickly.

If I fail to brake, the sys­tem au­to­mat­i­cally ini­ti­ates brak­ing to re­duce the im­pact.

By us­ing a net­work of sen­sors, the Pre­safe sys­tem de­tects con­di­tions that sug­gest an ac­ci­dent is about to oc­cur, such as ex­treme skid­ding.

It then acts to first tighten the front seat belts, ad­justs the front head re­straints and pas­sen­ger seat, and au­to­mat­i­cally closes all the win­dows and the sun­roof to bet­ter pre­pare ev­ery­one in the car.
