CLOSE to 20,000 schoolchildren across the country have benefitted from the Nestle for Healthier Kids (N4HK) initiative last year.

Launched in 2010, N4HK is an educational programme established in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Nutrition Society of Malaysia.

This programme aims to improve nutrition knowledge and promote an active lifestyle among schoolchildren aged 7 to 12 years. During N4HK sessions, children are taught pertinent life skills through modules such as Practising Healthy Lifestyle, The Food Pyramid, Eating Regular Meals, Healthy Food Choices, Personal Hygiene and Jom Aktif.

Each N4HK session also includes a fun and energetic senamrobik activity.

The N4HK programme was introduced to schools throughout Peninsular Malaysia, including in the Klang Valley, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Perak, Kedah, Perlis and Terengganu last year.
