Alam Flora workers find dead baby in dumpster

PUTRAJAYA: The body of a newborn was found by garbage collectors when they emptied the content of a dumpster into their lorry yesterday.

The dumpster was at Block D 18R13, Presint 18 government quarters here.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hassan said police received a call regarding the discovery by Alam Flora workers about 9.25am.

A police team was deployed to the scene.

“We were informed about the discovery of the baby’s remains by garbage collectors. The body was found after the dumpster was emptied into the garbage truck,” he said.

Rosly added that the baby’s remains had been sent to Putrajaya Hospital for post-mortem.
