I KNOW NOTHING, SAYS NIK MOHAMAD ABDUH
People who reported me to MACC ‘have wrong person’, says Bachok MP
PAS central committee member Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz said he knew nothing about allegations that party members including himself received RM90 million from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
He also claimed that several individuals who had lodged a report with the Malaysian AntiCorruption Commission (MACC) previously had got the “wrong person”.
“I have been summoned by Kelantan MACC because of some report about the RM90 million fund. I believe those who made the report against me had mistaken me for someone else. I know nothing about the RM90 million fund.
“I also touched a bit on the audio recording (allegedly implicating me) and had said that it had nothing to do with me. I had also said that it was slanderous nonsense” he said at the MACC headquarters at Jalan Lundang here.
Earlier, Nik Mohamad Abduh, who is also Bachok member of parliament, arrived at the Kelantan MACC headquarters alone without being accompanied by a lawyer at 10.20am and left at 12.30pm.
Asked if he would give his cooperation to MACC if called again to give his statement, he said: “Whatever it takes ... MACC is my friend, a friend of Pas,” he said.
News portals reported yesterday that three politicians were expected to be present at the MACC office to give their statement to assist in investigations into allegations of receiving RM90 million from the 1MDB fund, which was channelled into the accounts of several Pas leaders.
It is understood that the three politicians are from various political parties, including Pas and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).
Two of them testified at Putrajaya’s MACC headquarters while another at the Kelantan MACC office.
