DOMMAL Food Services Sdn Bhd, the master franchise holder of Domino’s Malaysia, aims to have 300 outlets nationwide next year from 236 stores currently.

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia and Singapore deputy president of operations Shamsul Amree said the company expected to open another 15 outlets this year while focusing on expanding its presence in Sabah and Sarawak.

The fast food chain has recently opened five outlets — in Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Perak, Melaka, Johor and Terengganu.

Each outlet is estimated to cost around RM500,000.

“There is still room for us to grow, as the expansion will help boost the company’s revenue significantly. Fortunately, we are the market leader in pizza delivery as we have been growing in the last 10 years.

“We expect to continue the same growth momentum and deliver the best customer experience while providing convenience and quality products and services,”said Shamsul after launching Domino’s Royale Salted Egg Pizzas, here, yesterday.

He said Domino’s Malaysia would improve its infrastructure, including back- and front-end digital systems, to enhance pizza ordering and delivery.

Shamsul, however, said consumers were now more cautious in their spending due to a weaker economy and this would impact the overall sales of the foods and beverages segment.

Domino’s Malaysia would continue to be creative and provide various solutions to weather challenges, such as a weaker ringgit and the rising cost of raw materials.

“We have not raised the base price of our pizzas in the past years. We will look at it carefully in reviewing our products prices. We also need to improve our efficiency to increase productivity and delivery,” he said, adding that Domino’s Malaysia employs more than 5,000 staff nationwide.

Shamsul said the company wanted to keep its promise in enhancing their products, aside from providing customers with unique and innovative flavours.

“We take pride in delivering quality services and providing experience to create a memorable Domino’s experience. This is how we want our customers to remember us,” he said.

Domino’s Malaysia’s Royale Salted Egg pizzas come in three varieties — the Royale Chicken Pizza, the Royale Tuna Pizza and the Royale Delight Pizza — and will be available from next Monday.
