‘PH’S INTEGRITY WILL LEAD IT TO VICTORY’

A strong party machinery is vital, says Selangor PKR council head

THE integrity of Pakatan Harapan in Selangor will help it win in the Semenyih by-election on March 2. Selangor PKR Leadership Council chairman Amirudin Shari said a strong party machinery would ensure PH’s victory in the constituency.

“Nonetheless, it does not mean we can take it easy.

“We should continue to work hard to repel allegations and defamations against the state and federal governments,” he said after opening the 3W Carnival: Women, Welfare and Wellness at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council field yesterday.

On the cooperation between Pas and Umno in the by-election, Amirudin, who is Selangor menteri besar, said the (political) cooperation strategy had been taking place unofficially since the recent Sungai Kandis by-election.

“In Balakong, Pas was assisting MCA, but I am confident if we are united and cooperate with each other, the people will continue to give us the mandate (to rule).”

The Semenyih by-election is being held following the death of its incumbent, Bakhtiar Mohd Nor, 57, on Jan 11 following a heart attack.

It is the fourth by-election in Selangor since the 14th General Election.
