HEALTHIFYME, a health and fitness app with more than eight million users worldwide, plans to grow its presence in Malaysia by building a subscriber base, food database and its roster of trainers.

HealthifyMe, which began as a humble start-up in Bangalore, India, is also exploring new methods to make its app the go-to platform for healthy eating and fitness among Malaysians.

“Currently, we are committed to further expanding our presence in Malaysia by increasing the number of subscribers, improving our food database and our roster of trainers.

“We launched in Singapore last month and are now looking to establish our presence there,” HealthifyMe Wellness Pte Ltd cofounder and chief executive officer Tushar Vashisht told NST Business recently.

The HealthifyMe app, developed for both the Android and iOS platforms, provides calorie tracking, water tracking and fitness coaching using a gamified approach to keep users motivated.

Tushar said HealthifyMe officially entered the local market in October last year .

“From a Malaysian perspective, moving forward, we plan to grow our team to more than 50 health and fitness experts.

“We are going to expand into other Southeast Asian markets and the Middle East shortly,” said Tushar.

For Malaysian users, HealthifyMe offers four different subscription options, namely the “Essentials” package at RM149 a month, the “Balance” package at RM199 a month, the “Muscle Up” package at RM249 a month and the “Premiere” package RM299 a month.

These packages come with an array of customised services that fit the user’s requirements.
