AMBANK BAGS BEST SME BANK AWARD

Lender recognised for efforts to support growth of small and medium enterprise­s

AMBANK Group has been named the Best SME Bank by Global Banking & Finance Review.

“We are very honoured to receive this award for the very first time. This achievemen­t bears testament to our commitment to excellence and the support rendered to our SME (small and medium enterprise) clients, which have resulted in their continued trust,” said AmBank Group chief executive officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir.

The Global Banking & Finance Review is a leading United Kingdom-based financial portal and print magazine.

AmBank Group business banking managing director Christophe­r Yap said the award recognised the bank’s efforts in supporting SME growth through financing and knowledge-sharing which went beyond financial accessibil­ity.

“We will continue to deliver business banking solutions that push the boundaries of innovation in this exciting and challengin­g new era,” he said.

Since its inception in 2011, the Global Banking and Finance Awards reflects the innovation, achievemen­t, strategy, and progressiv­e and inspiratio­nal changes taking place within the global financial community.

It recognises firms that are prominent in particular areas of expertise and excellence within the financial world.
