MB: Respect court’s decision
SHAH ALAM: The state government has urged all parties involved in the issue of the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Subang Jaya to respect and abide by Wednesday’s High Court ruling that dismissed the bid to stop the relocation of the house of worship.
Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said this was to ensure public order and uphold the rule of law.
“The state government is ready to work with all parties involved to comply with and implement the decision of the court, as well as take all necessary measures to guarantee
Selangor’s peace.”
He said this in reference to the decision by Shah Alam High Court judge Datuk Wong Kian Kheong, who dismissed an application by 50 Hindu devotees of the temple for an interlocutory injunction to stop One City Development Sdn Bhd, the owner and developer of the temple site, from entering the premises for the purpose of demolition.
