Naza Premira aims to sell 1,400 Vespa units
KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Premira Sdn Bhd is set to launch eight new Vespa models this year as it aims to achieve a 12 per cent sales growth to 1,400 units from 1,300 units last year.
The first new model launched is the Vespa Notte Edition, which is available in two variants, namely Vespa Notte GTS Super 300 ABS and Vespa Notte Sprint 150 i-Get ABS.
The selling prices start from RM29,000 and RM17,700, respectively.
Naza Corp head of two wheels division Nazman S.H.C. Yusof said sales were expected to continue to grow year-on-year.
He said Vespa sales had surged nine per cent to 1,300 units last year.
“We are expecting a record number of new Vespa model launches this year. But we will continue to focus on quality rather than quantity,” said Nazman at the launch of Vespa Notte Edition, here, yesterday.
The Vespa Notte GTS Super 300 ABS is a blend of nocturnal style and the sporting character of the Vespa GTS Super.
Equipped with advanced engine in the i-Get family — a fourstroke single-cylinder engine with electronic injection, fourvalve distribution and liquid cooling — the GTS Super 300 ABS is capable of putting out 15.6kW at 7,750rpm and has a maximum torque of 22Nm at 5,000rpm.
It is also equipped with environment-friendly features, such as reduced fuel consumption and emissions.
The scooter also comes with double channel ABS System and ASR safety system, making it a good road companion to manoeuvre through the congested city traffic effortlessly.
On the other hand, the Vespa Notte Sprint 150 i-Get ABS represents the symbol of the Italian lifestyle built on elegance, donning the charisma of the Vespa tradition.
Powered by a cutting-edge 150cc single-cylinder, four-stroke i-Get engine equipped with electronic injection and three-valve distribution, the Sprint 150 i-Get ABS puts out 9.5kW at 7,750rpm and has a torque of 12.8Nm at 6,500rpm, giving the lightweight scooter a lively acceleration.
It is also engineered with a detailed exhaust and transmission casing inner structure to provide a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride.
