Don’t mess with dad

Liam Neeson stars as a vengeful snowplow driver seeking revenge for his son’s murder in action thriller

-

At 66, irish actor liam neeson is not only still ruggedly handsome, but also capable of churning out bad-ass moves in action films. if there’s one great lesson he has been imparting throughout his string of impressive action films, it is that fathers are the most dangerous individuals on the planet after playing the role of a vengeful father in the Taken franchise and Run All Night.

With his deadly stare and deep gravelly voice, even hardened criminals might think twice before messing with Neeson.

One would assume that a sexagenarian movie star would be settling into less physically demanding genres. there were rumours that Neeson was planning to retire from the action genre, but there seems to be no sign of that happening anytime soon, not with the actor’s latest film, Cold Pursuit.

Directed by Hans Petter Moland, the film is based on the Norwegian film, In Order Of Disappearance (2014).

For his remake, Moland brought along much of his original crew but enlisted a new screenwriter, Frank Baldwin, and a supporting cast that included laura Dern who plays Neeson’s on screen wife Grace. there’s also Emmy Rossum who stars as smart rookie cop Kim, and Julia Jones as the long-suffering wife of tom Bateman’s ridiculously deranged cartel chief, viking.

“the female characters are smart enough to distance themselves from the actions of the men, or their stupidity,” says Moland. “the men in the movie are domineering, self-important and oblivious to the humour. they are deadly serious. Or dead.”
