Lions join Four-Nations meet
FAM announced yesterday that New Zealand, Oman, Singapore and Malaysia will compete in a four-nation competition in Kuala Lumpur on March 18-26.
The four-nation tournament is a rebadged version of the Merdeka Tournament.
“The confirmation of interest by the FA of Singapore completes the probable lineup of participating teams in the competition,” said FAM secretary general Stuart Ramalingam.
New Zealand, who qualified for the 1982 and 2010 World Cup, are currently ranked World No 119. Oman reached the recent Asian Cup round of 16 and they lost 2-0 to Iran.
