Ex-D-G of Legal Affairs Dept Jalil Marzuki heads list
FORMER director-general of the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Jalil Marzuki, will lead 200 recipients in receiving honours, awards and medals in conjunction with this year’s Federal Territory Day celebrations.
Jalil is now responsible for coordinating and monitoring court development projects throughout Malaysia and overseeing the Legal Aid Department and Insolvency Department will be awarded the Seri Mahkota Wilayah (SMW), which carries the title of “Datuk Seri”.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin AlMustafa Billah Shah Ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah will present honours, awards and medals at a investiture ceremony at the Istana Negara today.
Associate Professor Dr Harlina Halizah Siraj @ Ramli from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia will be awarded the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah, which carries the title of “Datuk” while Associate Professor Dr Sharifah Hayaati Syed Ismail from Universiti Malaya will be awarded the Johan Mahkota Wilayah (JMW).
Twenty- seven individuals will be awarded the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (PMW), which carries the title of “Datuk”, 36 individuals will be awarded with the Johan Mahkota Wilayah (JMW), 32 recipients will get the Kesatria Mahkota Wilayah (KMW), 36 recipients will receive the Ahli Mahkota Wilayah (AMW) and 68 individuals the Pingat Pangkuan Mahkota Wilayah (PPW).
Four athletes will be among those recognised for their sporting excellence and will be awarded with the Bintang Ahli Mahkota Wilayah (AMW) .
Nur Dhabitah Sabri from Kuala Lumpur will be recognised for her achievements in diving.
Her best achievement saw her being ranked fifth in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games garnering one silver medal and two bronze medals at the Asian Games and two bronze medals in the Commonwealth games as well as being crowned the Best Sportswoman, Federal Territories last year.
The athletes representing Perak Sukma 2018 and who contributed three gold medals for weightlifting events, Jabriella Teo Samuel and Muhammad Erry Hidayat Muhammad Hidayat are recognised in the same category and will receive the AMW.
For her lawn bowling skills, Nur Ain Nabilah Armizi will receive the Pingat Pangkuan Mahkota Wilayah (PPW).
