Woman held for killing sister 18 years ago

ZAGREB: A Croatian woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her sister 18 years ago after a body was discovered in a freezer in her home, prosecutors said on Sunday.

Jasmina Dominic, 23, was studying here when she went missing in 2000. Police suspect her frozen remains have been found after the home of Dominic’s sister was searched in the village of Mala Subotica.

A 45-year-old woman was arrested last Saturday in Mala Subotica, said regional police spokesman Nenad Risak.

“We suppose that the body found in the freezer is that of a woman born in 1977, and whose disappearance was reported on Aug 16, 2005,” Risak said.
