SYDNEY: Australia continued a string of “hottest ever” months last month, the government said yesterday, as global warming emerges as the hot button issue with elections weeks away. The Bureau of Meteorolog­y said the country experience­d the warmest March on record, with mean maximum and minimum temperatur­es above average for nearly the whole nation. It said the mean temperatur­e was 2.13°C above the long-term average for March. It was the fourth month of record heat.
