WITH only four days left before Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2019 gets underway, race organisers Human Voyage are all ready and geared up for the country’s biggest cycling event which will start at the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) in Kuala Lumpur.

According to LTdL 2019 chief executive Datuk Ahmad Mustafa, the organisers have made meticulous preparation with no stone left unturned to ensure the race runs smoothly and to the highest standards.

With the theme “Sports Unite, Cycling Contributes”, the LTdL ends with two exciting stages in Langkawi on April 12 and 13.

“In terms of organisation, we’ve met all the criteria and we’ve also sorted out all pending issues… we’re ready for the big show.

“Teams and riders will start arriving in Kuala Lumpur from tomorrow for the customary team presentation which takes place on Friday in KL,” said Ahmad, at a press conference to announce the closure of certain roads in Penang in conjunction of LTdL, yesterday.

Penang will host Stage Six of the 130.8km race, which starts off from Dato Ahmad Badawi Hall, Bagan before heading for the finish line in Alor Setar on April 11.

State Youth and Sports committee chairman Soon Lip Chee thanked the organisers for selecting Penang as one of the hosts of the 2.HC race, saying it would further help in the promotion of the state to the world.
