YOU arrive at the airport of your destination in the morning but it’s too early to check-in at the hotel. Do you drag your luggage all over the city? Well, you dont have to now. You can explore the city and let Luggez handle your luggage.

Formerly known as Airebagasi, Luggez which stands for “Luggage Eazy”, is Malaysia’s first luggage delivery service. It promises to safely transport your bags from the airport to your hotel or home.

Introduced last year by Airevicenna Sdn Bhd, the company started its services at Senai International Airport and recently expanded them to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and KLIA2.

The premium hassle-free luggage delivery service has a strong following among foreign tourists and expatriates, and now gained popularity among local umrah travellers. Its target market is basically families on holidays or tourists travelling in big groups, as well as those who travel with sports equipment such as golf sets or bicycles, or even surf boards.

Founder and chief executive officer Islahudin Abdullah says with this service, travellers can save time and energy by sending their baggages to the Luggez counter. “They can then enjoy the day at the city or go for meetings, worry-free, while we send their baggage to the requested destination at the specific time,” he says.

Besides delivery from the airport, you can also book the service if you are leaving for the airport from your home or hotel. What this means is that if you have a late flight and you want to do some last-minute shopping before heading to the airport, you can just leave your bag at the hotel, check out and let Luggez handle it. You head directly to the airport later, pick up your luggage at the Luggez

booth, and you’re good to go!

SAFE DELIVERY

The question is, can we confidently leave our bags with Luggez? To ensure your luggage is safe throughout the trip, you can track it through its website and monitor its movement.

Luggez also provides free insurance for the luggage throughout the delivery period with AXA Insurance.

At the airport, luggage that is dropped off at its counter before 11am will be delivered to the preferred destination before 3pm. Those dropped off after 11am will be delivered before 6pm.

If you are travelling from home, you need to specify your flight details and pick-up time to ensure your baggage arrives at the airport on time. The system sets a van collection not less than six hours before flight departure.

PRE-ORDER ONLINE

Islahudin says that when they first started the service, they relied solely on walk-in customer. “Today, almost 80 per cent of our customers pre-order online, which is much more convenient,” he said.

To pre-order, visit www.luggez.com. It’s a user-friendly website requiring a few simple steps to specify the pick-up or drop-off location of either hotel, residence and airport, also dates as well as set times.

Luggez offers an attractive flat rate based on price per bag (according to size S, M and L) instead of weight and distance restrictions. It is RM45 for a small bag, RM65 for a medium-sized bag and RM85 for larger-sized items.

Luggez only provides three-hour free storage before delivery time. An additional storage fee is applied for early luggage drop-off. Special promotions are held every month.
