Road closures for LTdL

roads in Negri Sembilan will be closed today until Monday to make way for stages one, two and three of Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL).

Negri Sembilan’s traffic investigat­ion and enforcemen­t department head, Supt Ibrahim Abd Kadir said that the first stage of 176.9 kilometres beginning from Genting Peres, Hulu Langat, Selangor would involve the closure of several roads throughout the race today.

“Among the roads involved are Kongkoi, Titi, Mengkan, Pekan Kuala Klawang, Jalan Kuala Klawang Seremban, Amar Penghulu, Bukit Tangga, Lenggeng Junction, Pantai Town, Jalan Tok Dagang, Paroi , Bukit Putus (old road) , Ulu Bendul, Terachi, Kuala Pilah Town, Senaling, Selaru, Johol, Air Mawang, Repah and Tampin Town in stages beginning at 12.30 pm until 4.30 pm.

“Closure of the end route at Jalan Besar Tampin will begin at 7.00am until 7.00pm,” he said.

He said the second stage of the race tomorrow would involve a distance of 200.6 km beginning at Bandar Prima Senawang and ending at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka which would pass through roads in the state at around 11.30am until 4.00pm.

“The closure of Dataran Prima Senawang begins at 6.30am until 2.45pm,” he said.

The third stage of the race on Monday involves several road closures in Linggi, Air Kuning, Siliau, Bandar Spring Hill, Lukut, Tanah Merah and Bukit Pelandok in stages from 1.45pm until 4.00pm.

In related news, the Simpang Ampat Interchang­e at Kilometer 217 on the North-South Expressway will be temporaril­y closed tomorrow between 2.00pm and 4.00pm for the LTdL which will be held at the connecting Alor Gajah-Melaka Federal Road 1.

Plus Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) in a statement, said that vehicles from Seremban/Kuala Lumpur heading towards Alor Gajah or Tampin are advised to exit the highway via the Pedas Linggi Toll Plaza.

Vehicles from the South (Johor) heading to Alor Gajah or Tampin are advised to exit the highway via the Ayer Keroh Toll Plaza.
