POCKET CINEMA PROJECTOR

PORTABLE projectors are an extremely niche market that has not really taken off in a big way, although from time to time, there arrives a decent candidate that is more than capable of wowing the audience.

The Nebra AnyBeam is a unique pocket cinema projector that offers plenty of performance packed into an extremely small form factor.

Touted to be the smallest of its kind in the world, it is powered by a regular power bank that does not require you to be a rocket scientist to use it.

All the Nebra AnyBeam needs to deliver movie action on virtually any surface is a simple plug-and-play procedure with a smartphone, notebook or tablet

Sporting dimensions of 19mm x 60mm x 103mm, the Nebra AnyBeam tips the scales at a mere 140g, enabling it to fit into your pocket easily.

Equipped with a state-of-the art laser module, it has the ability to project screens up to 380cm and beyond. The idea of using laser was born out of the need to deliver an affordable product that is more power efficient without having to sacrifice on projection quality, something that Digital Light Processing is unable to do.

Since it relies on a laser module, you do not need to focus it at all. This translates into the ability to project it onto curved or uneven surfaces. Even when there is no suitable surface, why not project in mid-air instead? It will connect via HDMI and audio output is available through a 3.5mm audio jack. Interestingly enough, you can use it with a wireless projector adaptor, a Fire TV stick or a Chromecast to stream content wirelessly to the Nebra AnyBeam projector. Perhaps a future edition will include Bluetooth connectivity. The Nebra AnyBeam will ship in August at a price of US$290.
