RedCargo, Oman Air ink freight deal

KUALA LUMPUR: RedCargo Logistics Sdn Bhd, the cargo and logistics platform of AirAsia Bhd, yesterday signed an interline agreement with Oman Air for access to the belly space on Oman Air’s cargo and freight network, including to Africa, the United Kingdom and Europe.

Oman Air customers will in turn be able to book cargo space on AirAsia’s extensive network of more than 5,000 weekly flights across Southeast Asia, including key destinatio­ns such as Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta and here.

Oman Air senior vice-president commercial cargo Mohammed Al Musafir expressed his optimism about its tie-up with RedCargo.

“We are confident of offering our customers a wider range of choice of destinatio­ns in Far East region with an extensive network of flights beyond Oman Air’s expanding network. We look forward to working closely with RedCargo through the interline partnershi­p,” he said.
