PRINCE COURT IN TOP 10 LIST, AGAIN
Medical centre recognised globally for its high level of services
PRINCE Court Medical Centre (PCMC) has been once again named one of the world’s best hospitals for medical tourism by Medical Travel Quality Alliance (MTQUA).
The accolade was based on MTQUA’s survey titled “World’s Best Hospital for Medical Tourists 2019”, issued in conjunction with the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin show, the world’s largest travel trade marketplace.
Chief executive officer Chong Yee Mun said the hospital had been in the top 10 list since 2013.
“The recognition makes us more determined to maintain and improve the high level of service and quality that we provide to our customers.
“Their wellbeing has always been our top priority and the team in PCMC is committed and dedicated to serving customers. Being listed in the top 10, with top international hospitals, is an honour and serves as a reminder of our responsibilities and services to patients and customers,” he said.
The prestigious list includes Clemenceau Medical Centre in Beirut, Lebanon, Anadolu Medical Centre in Istanbul, Turkey, and Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
MTQUA is an international independent organisation, founded in 2009 in Bangkok and Scottsdale, Arizona, the United States, to promote safety and quality treatment and care to medical tourists.
The hospitals on the World’s Best Hospitals list are evaluated by the MTQUA team using stringent qualification guidelines over a period of three days, before hospitals are then ranked based on the quality of medical treatment and non-clinical factors, that play a role in outcome and quality of care.
It comes as no surprise that PCMC was awarded the recognition as it has been a leading premier hospital for Malaysians, expatriates, and international patients — renowned for its outstanding services and clinical achievements.
Designed with patients’ safety, comfort and care in mind, the 270-bedded full-tertiary care private hospital provides single-bed rooms within 12-bedded wards, and is on the medical forefront in terms of the latest technology advancements and breakthroughs.
“Medical tourists are paying more attention to quality and international standards in choosing a country and a hospital, yet affordability continues to be an important factor,” said MTQUA president Julie Munro.
She said medical tourists travelled the world in search of the best medical attention that they could afford.
