-

PAHANG coach Dollah Salleh felt his side were too cautious in the 1-1 draw against 10-man Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in Sunday’s Super League clash at the Darulmakmur Stadium in Kuantan.

The former international said his team should have beaten JDT to top the table. JDT lead with 27 points, two more than secondplace Pahang.

Gonzalo Cabrera handed JDT the lead in the fourth minute before defender Herold Goulon equalised for Pahang in the 36th minute.

JDT defender Mauricio Nascimento was sent off for a second yellow card in the 45th minute.

“Despite having the numerical advantage in the second half, we failed to win this match. My players were just too cautious when JDT had only 10 players.

“I am disappointed with the draw. We just did not perform well today.

“We also conceded a soft goal in the opening minutes.

“My defenders were too relaxed and it created an opening for JDT to score,” said Dollah on Sunday.

JDT manager Luciano Figueroa praised his team for being able to handle the pressure when they were down with 10 players.

“They were disciplined especially in the second half. They were determined to defend their lead in the league,” said the Ar- gentine
