SCANIA (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has sealed the first Scania Ecolution truck agreement signing in Asia, at the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo (MCVE) 2019. The Scania Ecolution is a tailormade partnership between Scania and its customers which helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This is achieved through vehicle optimisation, as well as agreed fuel and CO2 emissions reduction targets.

“I will not share each and every company’s targets, but it is between the range of 6 and 10 per cent,” said Scania

Southeast Asia managing director Marie Sjodin Enstrom.

The progress to reach the targets will be regularly monitored, evaluated and discussed with the Scania Ecolution Manager to ensure the desired result.

Scania Ecolution focuses on reducing operating cost which will translates to improved profitability while fulfilling the growing demand for green initiatives.

“We believe that sustainability and profitability can go hand-in-hand. Scania Ecolution will facilitate the shift towards a sustainable transport system. This is a holistic approach towards a more responsible and sustainable transportation of people and goods,”

said Marie.

Four companies had signed the Scania Ecolution truck agreement. They are Aone Logistics Sdn Bhd, Naidu Trans Logistics Sdn Bhd,

Gateway Shipping Sdn Bhd and Heng Seng and Co. The ceremony was witnesses by Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar and the Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia
