OLE TO GET HIS ‘WAN’

Wan-Bissaka to swap Palace for Old Trafford in RM263m deal

-

MANCHESTER United have agreed a £50 million (RM263 million) deal with Crystal Palace for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 21-year-old is expected to travel north immediately to have his medical at United and will sign a long-term contract with the Old Trafford side worth around £80,000 a week.

That represents a significant jump from his current £10,000-a-week wages at Palace. There was a breakthrough in United’s talks with Palace on

Tuesday night and they have started organising a medical as a result.

United will pay £45 million up front for the right back with a further £5 million in conditional add-ons.

They will now also move on to the rest of their summer targets, with funds in place at United to continue spending as they revitalise the squad.

United have also kept hold of the 25 per cent sell-on clause for Wilfried Zaha that they negotiated with Palace when he moved back to Selhurst Park.

There had been suggestions that Zaha’s sell-on clause could be part of negotiations over WanBissaka.

Wan-Bissaka will be United’s second signing of the summer transfer window as they have already snapped up Daniel James from Swansea.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has targeted young domestic talents as he looks to rebuild his squad at United.

England Under-21 international Wan-Bissaka only made his senior debut in February last year but was named Player of the Year by Palace fans last season after an impressive campaign.

Meanwhile, United are reportedly keen on bringing Sevilla and France forward Wissam Ben Yedder to Old Trafford this summer.

The 28-year-old netted 30 goals and provided 11 assists in 54 matches last season.

And now Ben Yedder has attracted interest from United with the club willing to trigger his £35.9 million release clause, according to ABC de Sevilla.

The possible move is reportedly dependent on whether striker Romelu Lukaku, who has been linked to a switch to Inter Milan, departs Old Trafford.

Ben Yedder’s current deal at Sevilla does not expire until the summer of 2021 after making the move to Spain from French side Toulouse back in 2016.
