POWERFUL TABLET FOR CREATIVE PROFESSIONALS

THE Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16 is a tablet that provides the kind of power creative professionals require when they work away from the office. It is the latest addition to Wacom’s collection of high-end mobile creative pen computers, targetting artists, designers and engineers.

It packs quite a punch underneath the hood, where you will be able to run full versions of even the heaviest creative software applications no matter where you are. This also makes it adequate as a desktop replacement computer.

This tablet features the Wacom Pro Pen 2 that offers a virtually lag-free pen performance complete with tilt response and 8,192 pen pressure levels for precision and control. Relying on Wacom’s own battery-free, electro-magnetic resonance technology, you will not have to grapple with the Pro Pen 2 running out of juice as the well-balanced and ergonomically-designed pens will never require recharging.

Sporting a 15.6-inch display, the user will enjoy a large active work area wide enough even for the biggest projects. Optical bonding reduces parallax while the etched glass surface results in the natural feel of pen on paper.

As the 4k (3840 x 2160 pixels) display covers 85 per cent of Adobe RGB colour space, it can be further calibrated for consistency and reliability in colour critical workflows. Other unique accessory pens from Wacom that are supported include the Pro Pen Slim, Pro Pen 3D, as well as the previous generation Classic Pen, Art Pen and Airbrush Pen.

The asking price for the MobileStudio Pro 16 is US$3,499.95 (RM12,540). It’s not cheap, but it delivers in terms of processing muscle while on the move.
